From the Principal

Yesterday staff came together for a Closure Day led by Di Austin from DOSCEL and focused on professional development and shared reflection. The day began with a beautiful and grounding moment of reflection and prayer, which invited staff to pause, connect, and consider the deeper purpose behind their work in education.  The day provided an opportunity to explore how the words from the bible can be used to enrich learning experiences, encourage deeper thinking, and support student wellbeing and gospel values education. The day provided opportunities to develop and plan thoughtful, creative, purposeful, reflective classroom teaching moments for our students.  The staff are very grateful to Emily Marino for all her input in organising the day including a very powerful prayer.

I will be away on a DOSCEL Principal's Conference for the remainder of the week. Please call the office if you have concerns over the next two days. Emily Marino will be Acting Principal in my absence.

    Western Valley Winter Sports Championships

Western Valley Winter Sports Championships – A Fantastic Day of Sport!

On Tuesday the 4th of June, our Year 4, 5 and 6 students travelled to Lowanna to take part in the Western Valley Winter Sports Championships. The day was filled with excitement, teamwork and sportsmanship as students competed in netball, volleystars, soccer and football against other local schools.

Everyone had a fantastic time, with many students learning new skills and deepening their understanding of their chosen sport. It was wonderful to see so much enthusiasm and determination on display throughout the day.

Thank you to the staff who organised the day and to those families who came along to cheer from the sidelines — your support was greatly appreciated!

    ...

Congratulations to all our Year 6 students who made their Confirmation last week. It was a very special night led by Bishop Greg. I loved seeing the special bonds between the students and their sponsors. One in particular that caught my eye was Brooklyn choosing his Grade 6 buddy from when he was in Grade Prep.

Once again , a huge thanks to Emily Marino for all her preparation and organisation
